PRE-OWNED Colt London Model 1849 Percussion Pocket 4" Revolver 31 Caliber

This Colt London Model 1849 Pocket Revolver with serial number #2735 was manufactured in 1854 at Samuel Colt’s London factory.

The revolver comes in the original Oak Presentation Case with the James Dixon & Sons Powder Flask.

Missing from the Presentation Case is the Bullet Mould, Nipple Wrench/Screwdriver, Cleaning Rod & Percussion Cap Tin.

The "Directions for Loading Colt Pistols" paper label pasted to the inside the lid of the case is in extremely good condition.

All serial numbers on the revolver appear correctly on the frame, barrel, cylinder, and trigger guard.

The British Proof Marks are stamped between the nipples of the cylinder.

The Patent Stamp with the words "COLT’S PATENT" is clearly visible on cylinder & left side of lower frame.

The Mechanical Integrity of the revolver seems excellent, cylinder locks up tightly, the hammer holds at both half-cock and full-cock positions.

The "Stagecoach Holdup" scene on the cylinder retains, 90% plus if not 100% of the scene.

Being roll-engraved (not hand-cut), they were often wore down with heavy use and cleaning.

The authenticitywith the overall general condition being very high.
