Gun Supplies offers you the opportunity to have your Glock slide CNC milled and drilled for your custom Mini Red Dot Sight (MRDS).

When you decide to have your slide CNC milled you pretty much have two options, fitting with a plate or without a plate.

Option 1 - Fitting a Plate:

• Removing the rear iron sight and CNC milling the slide from the back edge of where the rear iron sight was previously located.
• Drilling and tapping the slide (using same dimensions as the Glock Factory) fitting a genuine Glock Factory or a GBC plate.
• Screwing the plate directly to the slide and then the MRDS to the plate.
• Note:
  • This method is most favored by Glock owners, as it allows a greater choice of Red Dot Sights.

Option 2 - No Plate:

• Leaving the rear iron sight untouched, CNC milling the slide in front of the rear Iron sight.
• Drilling and tapping slide, fitting & screwing the MRDS directly to the slide with no plate.
• Notes:
  • This option has maybe a small advantage, in that it keeps the MRDS a little lower on the slide.
  • With the rear iron sight not being removed you can end up with approximately a one third co-witness effect on certain brands of MRDS.
  • If you are using this method to gain co-witness effect for a range use pistol, its very non-effective and pretty much a waste of time.
