Rifle chassis and stocks continue to advance at a rapid pace, newly designed products are coming to the market from everywhere, precision long range rifle shooting is on a high, so we at Gun & Bell Custom have joined the list of companies manufacturing new style chassis and stocks for bolt action rifles.
Using a Stainless Steel Short Action Howa 1500 Action & 22" Barrel, Gun & Bell Custom have gone about to build, what we call the GBC LONG-TAC custom bolt action rifle.
In designing this chassis and stock, a big part of the equation was to keep the overall weight down but without causing any integrity issues with the recoil of the rifle, and also making it a practical style for long range distance hunting or precision shooting.
The chassis the action screws into has been skeletonized and is designed to be stripped easily with only two screws holding the chassis to the action. The action is fitted with a 30 MOA picatinny rail mount.
The trigger guard is fitted with a quick detach push lever/catch inside the guard itself for ease of use when dropping a magazine, the trigger guard is held into the chassis with two straight pull pins. Fitted onto the trigger guard is a ERGO heavy textured grip.
The carbon fiber hand guard is totally 100% free floating and on this model we have fitted a 14" OCT-PRO Free Float M-Lok Carbon Fiber Handguard.
The Butt-Stock is a GBC Skin n Bone, fitted with an extra high carbon fiber cheek rest.
We loved how the rifle handled during our field tests, first thing we noticed was, how extremely soft it was to shoot. The
action cocks and cycles smoothly, and the 2-pound, 5-ounce trigger has a
perfect, crisp break.
The real beauty of this rifle is how well it performs, it's built to survive extreme conditions but also to deliver a perfect shot when the moment arrives.
